Once the GSTIN is live, add the fulfilment centre Flipkart allots you as an Additional Place of Business on the GST portal. Ensure the APOB shows on your registration before you dispatch.
myHQ provides a Gurugram virtual office address that serves as your Haryana Principal Place of Business (PPOB) for GST. With it you register a Haryana GSTIN (state code 06) and add the Farukhnagar, Bilaspur or Binola fulfilment centre Flipkart allots you as an Additional Place of Business (APOB), which Flipkart requires before you store Flipkart Fulfilment inventory in the state.
A VPOB, or Virtual Place of Business, is an address you rent for the sole purpose of filing a GST registration in a state where your business has no shop, godown or office. Flipkart sellers in Haryana need one because GST is registered state by state, and the day Flipkart’s Farukhnagar, Bilaspur or Binola warehouse signs for your cartons you are carrying on business in Haryana, whether your office is in Delhi, Jaipur or Ludhiana.
The GST portal has no field called VPOB. It has PPOB and APOB, and knowing which is which decides where each document is uploaded.
| Term | Full form and what it means for a Flipkart seller in Haryana | Where it appears on the GST portal |
|---|---|---|
| PPOB | Principal Place of Business: the lead address of the Haryana registration and the one on the certificate; the rented Gurugram address takes this slot | REG-01, Part B, “Principal Place of Business” tab |
| APOB | Additional Place of Business: every other Haryana location where your goods are stored or your books are kept; the allotted Flipkart FC is entered here | REG-01 “Additional Places of Business” tab, or later by Form GST REG-14 (Amendment of Registration Core Fields) |
| VPOB | Virtual Place of Business: the trade term for a rented address used as PPOB; proof is a rent agreement, the owner’s NOC and a recent electricity bill | PPOB tab, nature of possession “Rented” |
The statute is brief. Section 2(85) of the CGST Act, 2017 includes “a warehouse, a godown or any other place where a taxable person stores his goods” in the definition of place of business. Section 22(1) ties liability to register to “the State or Union territory from where he makes a taxable supply”, and Section 25(1) requires a separate application in each such state within 30 days of becoming liable. A Delhi or Uttar Pradesh GSTIN therefore covers nothing that Flipkart dispatches from Gurugram or Jhajjar. Haryana’s code in our GST state code list is 06, the first two digits of every Haryana GSTIN, and the state-by-state differences in what officers accept are summarised in virtual office rules by state.
Why not simply register on the warehouse? Because the occupier of the Farukhnagar or Binola premises is Flipkart India Private Limited, and the consent letter it gives sellers permits storage of goods, not occupation of the premises. The PPOB has to be an address you hold under your own agreement, which is exactly what a virtual place of business provides, and the FC then sits on that registration as an APOB. For the national picture, start with what a VPOB is and when you should register one; everything below is specific to Flipkart and to Haryana.
Haryana is Flipkart’s largest warehousing state in the north. Flipkart opened two fulfilment centres totalling nine lakh sq ft at Farrukhnagar in January 2020, built for furniture, large appliances, mobiles, apparel and grocery, and by September 2021 said it ran 17 fulfilment centres in the state across more than 44 lakh sq ft. Flipkart does not publish codes or addresses for any of them, so the allotment letter in Seller Hub is the document your CA works from; the sites below are the ones that recur in GST records, press releases and seller lists, and every one of them is in Haryana, GST state code 06.
The Farukhnagar facility is Flipkart’s fulfilment-centre cluster on the Farrukhnagar logistics belt west of Gurugram, about 21 km from Gurugram city and roughly 50 km from central Delhi. The FC Flipkart names “Farrukhnagar” is addressed at Rectangle Nos. 6, 7, 8 and 13, Village Khalikpur, Tehsil Badli, District Jhajjar, PIN 124103, across the Gurugram district boundary. Whichever building you are allotted, the filing is a Haryana GSTIN on a Gurugram PPOB with that address as APOB.
Farrukhnagar, also spelt Farukhnagar, is a town and tehsil in Gurugram district, Haryana, PIN 122506, 21 km west of Gurugram city on the road to Jhajjar; it is not in Delhi, though the Flipkart cluster there serves the whole Delhi-NCR market. The Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway passes close to the town and a branch railway line links it to Garhi Harsaru junction, which is why logistics parks have gathered around it. If a Flipkart order shows “Farukhnagar” in tracking, the parcel is in Haryana, and a seller storing there is doing business in Haryana under Section 22 of the CGST Act. Distances quoted on this page are road distances and are approximate.
Bilaspur is on the Bilaspur-Pataudi Road at Bhora Kalan, Gurugram, PIN 122413. Bilaspur is the junction where the Pataudi road leaves NH-48 south of Manesar, and the Bilaspur-Pataudi Road is lined with Grade A warehousing. Bilaspur is named in Flipkart’s own list of Haryana FC regions; a seller allotted stock here files the Bilaspur address as an APOB on the Haryana GSTIN.
Binola is at Vasika 908, Village Binola, Gurugram, PIN 122413, on NH-48 between Manesar and Bilaspur, and it carries a distinction the other sites do not: it is the principal place of business on Flipkart India Private Limited’s own Haryana GST registration. The registered address runs to more than two dozen khasra numbers, so copy it from the consent letter rather than retyping it. Amazon’s DEL5 fulfilment centre is also at Binola, which is why “binola flipkart” and “amazon warehouse binola” searches surface both.
Only the model that places your goods inside a Flipkart warehouse in Haryana creates the need for a Haryana GSTIN; selling to Gurugram or Faridabad customers from a warehouse in another state does not. Seller Hub offers three ways to fulfil an order, and Section 22 applies to each as follows.
| Model | Who stores, packs and ships | Need a Haryana GSTIN? | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flipkart Fulfilment (FBF) | Flipkart stores at Farukhnagar, Bilaspur or Binola and ships through Ekart | Yes, once you are allotted a Haryana FC | Goods held at a Flipkart FC in Haryana are your place of business under Section 2(85); the FC is filed as APOB |
| Smart Fulfilment | You keep the stock at your own warehouse and pack to Flipkart’s standard; Ekart collects and delivers | Only if that warehouse is in Haryana | Registration follows where the goods sit, not where Ekart delivers them |
| Seller-fulfilled (non-FBF) | You store and pack; Ekart picks up from your premises | Only if your premises are in Haryana | The same rule; Flipkart holds no inventory |
The reason sellers accept the extra registration is the Flipkart Assured tag, which attaches to listings that clear Flipkart’s quality checks and deliver in two to four days, and in practice that means stock positioned in Flipkart’s own FC near the buyer. A Ludhiana apparel seller who wants Assured on Delhi-NCR orders therefore ends up with a Haryana GSTIN whether or not that was the plan. The cost and control trade-offs are weighed in when to consider Fulfilment by Flipkart, and the fee schedule that comes with FBF is set out in Flipkart seller fees.
For taxable goods, yes, and Seller Hub will not let a taxable listing go live without a GSTIN. Section 24(ix) of the CGST Act, 2017 makes registration compulsory, with no turnover threshold, for anyone who supplies goods through an e-commerce operator required to collect tax at source under Section 52. Flipkart is such an operator and, like every marketplace, deducts TCS at 0.5% of net taxable value under Notification 15/2024-Central Tax from 10 July 2024; the credit lands in your electronic cash ledger once Flipkart files its GSTR-8.
The one exception is Notification 34/2023-Central Tax, in force since 1 October 2023, which lets an unregistered supplier of goods sell through a marketplace provided turnover stays under the Section 22 threshold, every sale is intra-state, and an enrolment number has been taken on the GST portal. A Panipat home-textile maker selling only to Haryana buyers from a Haryana address could use it. An FBF seller cannot: goods at Farukhnagar serve Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan, which is inter-state supply, and Flipkart’s onboarding does not accept the enrolment number for taxable products.
Flipkart’s own seller guidance treats the GSTIN as a standing requirement and asks for one GSTIN per state in which Flipkart stores your goods. Our Flipkart seller GST registration post walks through the Seller Hub side, and the thresholds, forms and fees in general are in GST registration in India.
You obtain the Haryana GSTIN by filing Form GST REG-01 on the GST portal with the rented Gurugram address declared as the Principal Place of Business; with Aadhaar authentication and a low-risk profile it is granted electronically in 3 working days.
Within 72 hours of KYC, myHQ issues the rent agreement in your legal name, the owner’s no-objection certificate and the latest electricity bill for the Gurugram premises, the three documents Rule 8 and CBIC Instruction 03/2025-GST treat as proof of a rented PPOB. What an officer reads in each is covered in address proof for GST registration and consent letter for GST registration.
On gst.gov.in go to Services, Registration, New Registration: state Haryana, legal name as on PAN, PAN, and the primary signatory’s mobile and email. Two OTPs, each valid 10 minutes, produce a Temporary Reference Number (TRN); the TRN and its saved data expire after 15 days, as explained in what a TRN is.
Re-enter with the TRN and complete the Part B tabs from Business Details to Verification. A pure FBF seller with no other Haryana activity selects “supply through e-commerce operator” as the reason for registration under Business Details.
Type it exactly as the rent agreement spells it, set nature of possession to “Rented”, and upload the rent agreement with the owner’s electricity bill as proof of the lessor’s ownership, plus the NOC; PDF or JPEG, 1 MB each. Tick “Have Additional Places of Business” if Flipkart’s consent letter for the Haryana FC is already in hand.
Choose Aadhaar authentication for the primary signatory and one promoter. Rule 9A, inserted by Notification 18/2025-Central Tax from 1 November 2025, grants low-risk applications within 3 working days. Haryana has run biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification under Rule 8(4A) since 7 December 2024: if the portal flags your application, the link you receive books a slot at a GST Suvidha Kendra, where the signatory’s biometrics are taken and the original documents are checked. Biometric authentication in GST registration describes the visit.
Submit with DSC (compulsory for companies and LLPs), e-Sign or EVC. The Application Reference Number arrives by SMS and email in about 15 minutes; track it as shown in how to check GST application status with the TRN. Outside Rule 9A, Rule 9(1) gives the officer 7 working days, or 30 days where physical verification under Rule 25 is ordered.
Form GST REG-03 gives 7 working days to reply in Form GST REG-04; an unanswered notice ends in rejection under Form GST REG-05. GST notice during registration shows what Gurugram officers typically ask about a rented address, and GST registration rejected covers reapplying.
Form GST REG-06 appears under Services, User Services, View/Download Certificates. The GSTIN begins with 06 and shows the Gurugram address as PPOB. Bank account details are due within 30 days of grant under the GSTN advisory of 20 November 2025; how to add a bank account in the GST portal covers the upload and company bank account verification the account itself.
| REG-01 field | Entry for a Flipkart seller using a Haryana VPOB |
|---|---|
| State | Haryana |
| Legal name | As on PAN, matching the rent agreement and the Seller Hub business name |
| Trade name | Your Flipkart storefront name, where it differs |
| Reason to obtain registration | “Supply through e-commerce operator” for a pure FBF seller |
| Principal Place of Business | The myHQ Gurugram address, character for character as on the agreement |
| Nature of possession of premises | Rented |
| Proof of principal place of business | Rent agreement and the owner’s electricity bill; NOC as the second file |
Expect Haryana to check. Gurugram ranges combine the Rule 8(4A) biometric route with Rule 25 site visits for new rented-address registrations, before or after approval; the myHQ partner space receives the officer with your agreement and NOC on file, and the signage add-on displays your business name. What a visit involves is in GST physical verification with a virtual office.
The Flipkart FC goes onto your Haryana GSTIN through a core-field amendment in Form GST REG-14, supported by Flipkart’s consent letter for the site, and Rule 19 of the CGST Rules gives the officer 15 working days to act on it. The order of work is Seller Hub, then the GST portal, then Seller Hub again.
Opt in to Flipkart Fulfilment in Seller Hub and complete FBF onboarding; Flipkart allots a Haryana FC, most often in the Farukhnagar, Bilaspur or Binola cluster, and provides a consent letter or no-objection certificate naming your seller account and the FC address. The letter must be current and specific to your account.
Log in to the Haryana GSTIN on gst.gov.in and open Services, Registration, Amendment of Registration Core Fields. On the Additional Places of Business tab enter the number of places to add and click Add New.
Rectangle, killa or khasra numbers, village, tehsil, district and PIN: 124103 for the Farrukhnagar FC at Khalikpur, 122413 for Bilaspur and Binola. Tick “Warehouse/Depot” as the nature of business activity. For nature of possession choose “Consent” and upload Flipkart’s letter, or “Others” if the officer’s practice in your Gurugram range prefers it; two PDF or JPEG files up to 1 MB each.
Give the reason (“addition of place of business, Flipkart fulfilment centre”) and the date of change, then submit with DSC or EVC. The ARN confirms Form GST REG-14 is filed. Rule 19(1) expects the amendment within 15 days of the change, so file before the inbound appointment, not after the truck has unloaded.
Track it under Services, Registration, Track Application Status. Rule 19 gives 15 working days, after which the amendment is deemed approved; the order issues in Form GST REG-15 and the refreshed Form GST REG-06 lists the FC. A REG-03 at this stage nearly always means the address string differs from the consent letter by a khasra number.
Go to Account, Business Details, Tax Details, add the Haryana GSTIN and upload the REG-06. Flipkart validates it against GSTN in 24 to 48 hours. Some Seller Hub versions label the same screen Profile, Tax Details, Add State.
Once the Haryana GSTIN shows as verified and the FC is on your certificate, the FBF inbound calendar opens for the allotted site and your transporter can deliver to Farukhnagar, Bilaspur or Binola.
A seller who already holds Flipkart’s letter can enter the FC on the Additional Places of Business tab of REG-01 and skip the amendment altogether. The generic mechanics are in how to add an additional place of business in GST, the marketplace variant in how to register an e-commerce FC as APOB, and a later move of the PPOB itself in how to change GST address.
Three parties contribute to the file: myHQ for the address, you for the entity, Flipkart for the warehouse. Portal uploads are PDF or JPEG, 1 MB per file.
| From myHQ (PPOB) | From you (entity) | From Flipkart (APOB) |
|---|---|---|
| Rent agreement for the Gurugram address in your legal name, stamped as Haryana requires | Business PAN, or the proprietor’s PAN | Consent letter or no-objection certificate for the allotted FC, naming your seller account |
| Owner’s no-objection certificate permitting GST registration at the address | Aadhaar of the primary signatory and one promoter, for OTP or biometric authentication | The FC address exactly as the letter states it, with PIN |
| Latest electricity bill for the premises, under two months old, as the owner’s proof of ownership | Certificate of incorporation, LLP agreement or partnership deed, plus board resolution or authorisation letter | Updated REG-06 showing the FC, uploaded to Seller Hub Tax Details |
| Photographs of the signatory and promoters, 100 KB each | ||
| Cancelled cheque or bank statement, within 30 days of grant | ||
| DSC where the applicant is a company or LLP | ||
| Original PAN and Aadhaar carried to the GST Suvidha Kendra if the portal books a biometric slot |
Sole proprietors and freelancers sign in their own name and skip the resolution; the thresholds that apply to them are in GST for freelancers. If the NOC on your file is issued by myHQ rather than the property owner, owner NOC vs virtual office NOC explains which one Haryana officers accept and why the myHQ set carries both.
Budget four to six weeks from ordering the Gurugram address to the first FBF inbound, because Flipkart’s allotment and consent letter sit between the GSTIN and the APOB filing; add two to three weeks if a GST Suvidha Kendra slot, a site visit or a REG-03 query intervenes.
| Stage | Time | Governing provision |
|---|---|---|
| myHQ documents for the Gurugram PPOB | Within 72 hours of KYC | myHQ service standard; Tatkal add-on shortens it |
| REG-01 filed to GSTIN granted | 3 working days (low-risk, Aadhaar-authenticated); 7 working days otherwise; up to 30 days with physical verification | Rule 9A (Notification 18/2025-CT, 1 November 2025); Rule 9(1); Rule 25 |
| GST Suvidha Kendra biometric slot, if flagged | Days, depending on GSK availability in Gurugram | Rule 8(4A); GSTN advisory for Haryana, 7 December 2024 |
| Reply to a REG-03 query | 7 working days from the notice | Rule 9(2), Form GST REG-04 |
| FBF approval and Flipkart’s consent letter | Set by Flipkart; typically days to two weeks | Seller Hub FBF onboarding |
| APOB amendment (REG-14) to updated REG-06 | Up to 15 working days; deemed approved after that | Rule 19(2) and (3) |
| Seller Hub GSTIN validation | 24 to 48 hours | Seller Hub Tax Details |
| Realistic total | Four to six weeks; up to nine with a GSK visit, a site visit and a query |
| Cost item | Amount |
|---|---|
| GST registration fee on gst.gov.in | Nil |
| APOB amendment fee | Nil |
| VPOB (virtual office) in one state | Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000 a year per state, depending on city and plan |
| Leased office in Gurugram, for comparison | Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh a year |
| Ten-state FBF footprint | Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh a year on VPOBs against Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh on leases |
| CA fees for REG-01 and REG-14 | Vary; bundled in myHQ’s CA assistance add-on |
Officer-side rejections in Haryana come down to documents that contradict each other or an applicant who does not show up; Flipkart-side delays come from a GSTIN or address that Seller Hub cannot match. Eight causes cover nearly every case.
Where a registration has been cancelled over the address, GST registration cancelled due to address issues sets out revocation, and GST clarification guide covers the reply to a query. Storing at a Flipkart FC that is not on your certificate breaches Rule 19(1); the general penalty under Section 125 of the CGST Act is up to Rs 25,000, mirrored under the Haryana GST Act, 2017, with Section 126 requiring restraint for minor, rectifiable breaches.
myHQ rents you the Gurugram address that becomes your Haryana PPOB and issues the three documents both the Haryana officer and the Flipkart APOB filing rest on: the rent agreement, the owner’s NOC and the electricity bill, in your legal name within 72 hours of KYC. The network covers 25 or more cities, has served 10,000 or more clients, and backs GST, ROC and bank filings on its documents with a 100% acceptance guarantee and a 30-day money-back.
Add-ons match the FBF path: APOB support for the Flipkart FC amendment, CA assistance for REG-01 and REG-14, Tatkal when a Big Billion Days inbound is close, and signage for the Gurugram verification visit.
